The black Shure WL185m is a discreet, low-profile cardioid lavalier microphone well suited to a wide variety of interview, presentation, broadcast, and film/video applications.
Not only does the lav offer a profile that is 8mm shorter then previous models, the WL185m delivers better audio quality with an improved presence response, higher dynamic range, and lower self-noise for crystal clear speech and vocals.
Optimized for a 5 VDC plug-in power source, the mic features a 4' cable terminating in a TA4F connector for use with a compatible Shure wireless bodypack transmitter or similar device.
A snap-fit windscreen and adjustable lapel clip that offers 90° rotation for optimal mic placement are included.
A zippered storage pouch is also supplied.

Headroom for Speech and Vocals
The electret condenser capsule in this TA4F version of the WL185m offers a 120.5 dB dynamic range and a very low self-noise of only 20 dB SPL.
It can also handle up to 140.5 dB SPL with only 1% total harmonic distortion (THD), providing headroom for broadcast-quality interviews, speech, and dialog.

Frequency Response Tailored for Speech
With a frequency range from 70 Hz to 20 kHz, the mic filters out unnecessary low frequencies and provides extended high-end range for accurate and transparent speech reproduction.
