High-performance Pro Series USB Active Extension Cable for connecting SuperSpeed USB 3.0 peripherals over long distances. It supports data transfer rates up to 5Gbps, also suitable for transferring large amounts of data quickly and reliably.



This 8m active extension cable can be used individually or in combination with other Lindy USB 3.0 Pro series active extension cables. This series of modular active extension cables can be cascaded and when connected with the USB 3.0 Pro active extension cable with hub can be connected to up to to 4 USB devices up to 40m (depending on the extension cables used).



Please note: only active USB 3.0 Pro 8m (Art. 43158) or 15m (Art. 43229) extensions can be connected directly to the computer. In case of cascade connections between several extension cables of the Extension Pro series, the first segment must always be one of these Pro versions 8m (Art. 43158) or 15m (Art. 43229).

Once the first segment is connected, it is possible to connect other extensions up to a maximum distance of 40m. The last segment can be any of the three models in the Extension Pro series. To connect multiple devices or a high-consumption USB peripheral, we recommend the 10m Pro Active Extension with Hub (Art. 43159) with the included external power supply connected to the last segment.

About the USB 3.0, USB 3.1 & USB 3.2 standard



PCs, devices and USB 3.0, USB 3.1 and USB 3.2 cables are all compatible with each other using both USB Type A and Type C interfaces.
USB 3.0, USB 3.1 Gen 1, and USB 3.2 Gen 1 all support transfer rates up to 5Gbps.
USB 3.1 Gen 2 and USB 3.2 Gen 2 both support transfer rates up to 10Gbps.
