The 24.5MP full-frame CMOS sensor combines with the EXPEED 7 processor and the light-input benefits of the larger Z-Mount to deliver maximum creative freedom.

Used in Nikon's Z 8 and Z 9 professional cameras, the EXPEED 7 processor allows every element of the camera to operate synchronously.
It powers the deep learning AF algorithms that enable the Z f camera to detect and track more subjects than any other mirrorless camera.
It is the basis of the camera's powerful VR stabilization system (8.0 stops).

Rather than simply stabilizing the center of the image, the VR system works on your active focus point. Whether you're composing with a focus point at the edge of the frame or you're tracking a fast-moving subject, you'll always get optimal sharpness where it matters.

For videos, you can combine the VR function built into the camera sensor with the electronic VR function.
You'll be able to get perfect handheld shots while walking, and if you use the NIKKOR Z wide-angle focal length, any keystone distortion will be corrected.
The camera's built-in VR function is great for stabilizing bright lenses.
You can also mount vintage NIKKOR F-Mount lenses and shoot with all the benefits of the Z f camera's powerful 8.0-stop VR stabilization, without any loss of image quality.

Thanks to the EXPEED 7 processor and deep-learning technology, this full-frame mirrorless camera helps you incredibly in manual focusing for subject tracking.
If subject tracking is turned on during manual focus (MF) shooting, the Z f camera recognizes the subject and automatically shifts the focus point to it.
It saves valuable time when shooting portraits of people, animals or birds, as the camera shifts the focus point to the subject's face or eye.
Subject tracking in MF mode works with both the viewfinder and the monitor.
