The position of the focus ring does not vary, making the lens suitable for video applications with a follow focus system.
Medium telephoto lens featuring bright design and sophisticated optics, from ZEISS is a Sonnar-type lens that offers high sharpness, speed and accurate contrast and color rendering. The optical design uses 4 anomalous partial dispersion glass elements to almost completely eliminate chromatic aberrations and other distortions for clean and well corrected images. A system of floating elements is also used, for consistent performance throughout the focusing range, in order to achieve sharpness and clarity as well. An improved ZEISS T * anti-reflective coating has also been applied to significantly reduce ghosting and lens flare for better contrast and color fidelity when working in difficult lighting conditions.
The manual focus design is complemented by a rubberized focus ring for precise and precise control of the focus position.
