Blackmagic PYXIS is the next generation customizable camera you've been waiting for! Blackmagic PYXIS is a premium digital film camera that produces accurate skin tones and rich, natural colors.
Its extremely versatile design lets you build the perfect rig for your productions. It features a 36 x 24mm full frame 12K sensor with wide dynamic range and a built in low pass filter specifically designed for the sensor's specifications.
It features 2 Cfexpress card slots and an Ethernet port for sharing files to the Blackmagic Cloud!
It can also record 12-bit Blackmagic RAW and the tiny H.264 proxy format at the same time.

Highly customizable design

The compact camera body is made from precision CNC-machined aircraft-grade aluminum, making it super strong and lightweight.

In addition to multiple 1/4" and 3/8" threaded mounting points on the top and bottom, Blackmagic PYXIS features multiple side plates for attaching a variety of accessories such as handles, microphones and even SSDs.

Large Format Digital Cinema Sensor
Blackmagic PYXIS models feature a massive full frame sensor with a native resolution of 6048 x 4032 or even 12288 x 8040! That's about three times larger than a Super 35 sensor, allowing you to shoot shallow depth of field or use uncropped anamorphic lenses for true cinematic looks.
Whether you're shooting in bright sunlight or in near darkness, the huge dynamic range combined with the high performance sensor delivers stunning images with very low noise.
PYXIS also lets you shoot up to 120 fps on the 6K model, or up to 112 fps on the PYXIS 12K model.
The incredible sensor and Blackmagic Color Science give you the same quality as more expensive digital film cameras.

Full Frame Flexibility
Blackmagic PYXIS's large full frame sensor lets you work in a variety of film formats and aspect ratios without sacrificing image quality!
By using the entire sensor area you get a stunning 3:2 open gate image that can be re-framed in post production.
The large sensor also lets you shoot in 6:5 anamorphic without cropping, so your widescreen images will have more detail and resolution than ever before.
You can also use it in classic Super 35 windowed mode to create a close-up version of the shot that perfectly matches the open gate footage.
That's all you need to create the highest quality cinematic content!

Three Lens Mount Options
Blackmagic PYXIS supports the widest range of lenses in the world because there are three different versions available that let you use L, EF or PL lenses! The L mount model works perfectly with the latest full frame lenses from Leica, Panasonic and Sigma, as well as a myriad of new and vintage lenses when used with adapters.
The EF mount model lets you use the high quality photographic lenses you already own for your DSLR or Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera.
The PL mount model is designed to allow you to use professional cinema lenses from brands including Zeiss, ARRI and Cooke without the need for an adapter.

Amazing High Dynamic Range (HDR) Images
The distance between the lightest and darkest parts of an image is called dynamic range and is measured in stops.
The Blackmagic PYXIS 6K has a massive 13 stops of dynamic range, while the PYXIS 12K model has a massive 16 stops, so you can retain more detail in the brightest and darkest areas of the image than a typical video camera.
This lets you set the exposure for indoor scenes, such as a coffee shop, while still retaining the detail in the window lighting.
The camera also comes bundled with DaVinci Resolve Studio, giving you complete creative control over exposure and detail recovery when grading.
